You might want to have your vet check her mouth, maybe she has a bad tooth and sometimes dogs chew on things trying to relieve pain. Otherwise are you giving her lots of attention. My dog wanted or I should say demanded my attention and if I did not give it to him he chewed the woodwork and our shoes, the livingroom furniture and the legs on my bed.
And sometimes they chew cause they can. It can get very annoying. Often a dog gets lonely and would like a buddy to keep them company. I wish you the very best in luck in figuring out just what your dog wants and getting this bad habit curbed. Let us know how things work out.
