Protect dog from extreme heat

Keeping pets cool in extreme heat is always going to be difficult, but I think with a bit of common sense it's achievable.

The main thing is making sure that they have plenty of fresh, clean water to drink and they have a lot of shade to lie in. I've even gone so far as to leave the curtains shut and left the windows open when I've gone out in order to make sure the pets are as cool as possible.
