Can dogs be trained to pee only on schedule?
Dogs can be potty trained, but can dogs be trained to only pee at certain times of the day every day?

I have a friend whose dog will only pee twice a day, always at the same time of the day too. So they said the dog was trained by them or rather "already got used" to the schedule, since they do not have the time to walk the dog beside every early morning before go to work, and every evening after dinner. Their dog only has these two opportunities to urinate.

Here is how I feel. I know for a fact that for us humans, it is not good to "hold it" when you have to pee. You should always use the restroom when you need to go, otherwise it is very unhealthy and can cause a lot of problems such as bladder infection in the long run.

Wouldn't it be the same for the dogs? I do not know for sure, but I guess it is also not healthy for the dogs to only pee on schedule instead of "when you gotta go, you gotta go" lol.
