Where is a good place to buy driftwood/other accessories?
Where is the best place to buy quality driftwood for a tank? I am having difficulty finding a source of high grade driftwood that would work well in my tank. Perhaps I am being picky, but any advice would help!

Can I use "found" driftwood? I live near an ocean and sometimes really great pieces wash up. Is there a specific process to getting them ready for a tank, or is it too complicated of a process?

thank you for your help & advice!

If you use the driftwood washed up ashore, there could be potential parasites which can be harmful to your fish. You need to let it dry for at least several weeks under the sun before using it. By having real driftwood, it can lower your aquarium water PH slowly for a long period of time. Some driftwood might decompose in your aquarium. Personally I prefer to use the ones from the stores.

As for where to buy, there are plenty of online pet supplies stores selling aquarium accessories.
