I have owned and been close to many different breeds in my life. That includes some mix breeds, Labs, Cocker Spaniels, Collies, Poodles, Doberman Pinschers, Mini Pinschers, Yorkies, Jack Russell Terriers, German Shepherds, and Chows, to name a few.
I'd have to say my favorite breed is Lab. They have the right combination of energy and companionship. Once you get passed that overly wild first two years, they turn into wonderful dogs. They love people and are especially good with children.
After being around my brother's Yorkie, that would have to be my close second. He is so calm and relaxed. Just a mellow little guy.
Oh, I love my Jack Russell Terrier. She is loving, goofy, and entertaining. But, sometimes I wish she had a little bit of Lab in her.
