Can I read ebooks from Amazon without a Kindle?

I am just wondering if I buy ebooks from Amazon, will I be able to read them without a Kindle?

Lets say if I want to read the ebooks on a laptop or desktop PC computer. Is it possible?

You can get "Calibre" too for reading ebooks. It's a program that stores all your ebooks in one handy spot for you to read them. It's also an e-book converter, so if you needed to convert, say, a mobi file to an epub, you can. I have a Kindle, but sometimes I'll read ebooks on my computer, and "Calibre" is way favorite program for reading them.

Yes you should be able to. I have the kindle app on my IPad that I use, and I can get my books from Amazon on that but you should be able to download it on the laptop or pc.
