RE: IQ test for cats!
Heh, I don't believe in IQ. Nevertheless, my cat got an average score. I'm not surprised, frankly. Smile
I can't remember. I took the test a whole day ago, after all.

My favourite colour is green, my favourite number is 19.

What exactly score did your cats get?
Hey everyone, if you have a cat, please share the scores! Smile
Take the test again really quick if you forgot the score.

My cat scored 10 points, right in the middle of average.

RE: IQ test for cats!
Since I have 4 cats, I had to answer based on what most of them do overall. Some of the answers didn't really fit what my cats would do, so I had to fudge a bit. So my answers are anywhere between a score of 8-10. I think they are a little smarter than average, but yeah, I may be biased. =)

RE: IQ test for cats!
My cat scored an 11, which is average! She scored mostly neutral on the questions, though it stands to reason whether she doesn't do some things simply because she doesn't feel like it. For example, she definitely knows her name. When I call her, sometimes she runs to me, but usually she just looks at me, meows, and then stares at me until she figures out whether or not there's any good reason for her to come over to where I'm sitting (and there usually isn't, by her standards...). She is not very patient about being told what to do. However, she is extremely playful and manipulative with her toys. I've never tried to teach her a trick... I have a feeling she wouldn't be too thrilled. Wink

My cat scored a 17 - so I guess he's pretty intelligent! Most of the answers on the quiz were © for him. He is very playful and inquisitive. Smile

My cat scored a 15, so I guess she's on the low end of gifted, a B+ student. She was just one answer away from being average but barely made a 15. I probably have a critical tone right now, but Dolores chewed up my basil plant that I grew from seeds, so I'm a little cross with her.

My cats can feed themselves and I don't use a pet carrier so I'm not sure if this test is even applicable to my cats. I'll just assume they're smart since they do learn how to do many things from me and our other animals. They both learn pretty quickly.

RE: IQ test for cats!
I have 2 cats. I first applied the test to the smartest one. She got 16 points. That would explain why she takes up a lot of my time. She is pretty clever when it comes to opening doors and getting cat food out of a closed package. She is able to play on her own with her cat toys and interacts with me when I want to join in. Since I have this cat I do not really need an alarm clock. She wakes me up every morning and makes it very clear that she wants a cuddle and food afterwards. If I do not open the door for her, she will find a way to open it herself. At times she almost seems human! She has got quite a large cat vocabulary that goes way beyond 'meow' and she never hisses!
My other cat would score average on the same test. To make sure I took the test again and applied it to my other cat's behaviour. The second cat would score 9. I do not know whether this test has been scientifically proven but it does confirm my cats' behaviour and my personal assessment of their intelligence.

I had to do it two times Smile My older cat got 14 points, and my younger one got just 6 Big Grin
I don't think this test gives very accurate results but it was fun to do Smile
